What Makes a Life Even Fuller?

I’m fortunate that I’ve been living a full life for a long time. But then I began exploring the question, “What makes a life even fuller?”

The nine areas below are the ideas, practices, and disciplines I found that matter most. They aren’t independent of one another; they’re interconnected and mutually reinforcing. Together, they continue to shape how I live, grow, and experience life every day. They make my life even fuller.

Self-Actualization

Moving beyond who you are and toward who you are capable of becoming.

Relationships

Deepening the connections that matter the most and are mutually energizing.

Flourishing

Creating the conditions to experience greater well-being, meaning, connection, and possibility.

Awe

Experiencing moments every day that transcend your understanding of the world.

Standards

Defining your non-negotiable principles, and living your daily life accordingly.

Love

How you give it, receive it, and let it shape the standards you live by.

Clarity

Knowing what truly matters to you, why you're here, and who you really are.

Agency

Transferring your knowledge and wisdom into deliberate action…on your terms.

Emotional Intelligence

Building even greater levels of self-awareness, self-control, and social awareness.

How a Life Becomes Fuller

Knowing what can make life fuller isn’t enough. We have to explore possibilities, experience them for ourselves, and ultimately make the practice a part of our life.

Explore

Discovering ideas and possibilities that could meaningfully add to your life, including some you may not have known to seek.

Experiment

Trying them for yourself. Experiencing what they add to your life, what they change, and what you want to keep.

Practice

Integrating what meaningfully adds to your life until it becomes a standard for how you live.

How I’m Living a Fuller Life

Raman Chadha, Founder of Junto

In 2021, a fresh start gave me the freedom to rethink how I wanted to live. I began exploring and experimenting with ideas and practices, some new and others I wanted to deepen. Along the way, I discovered just how much agency I have over my life.

I spent three years living in 29 different places, gaining clarity about the people, spaces, and experiences I wanted in my life. That journey eventually led me to make Boulder, Colorado, my new home in 2024.

I became intentional about my relationships and how I wanted to give energy to them. I became intentional about where and how I spent my time. And I became intentional about the experiences I wanted to create for myself and the people in my life. Through experimentation and practice, I began turning those intentions into standards for how I live.

Today, the nine areas have become part of how I live every day, guided by standards I set from years of experimentation and practice. And my already full life continues to become fuller.

My professional life has been equally shaped by these interests. I’m an entrepreneur and educator who has devoted much of my career to the human side of business. Over the past three decades, I’ve worked with hundreds of founders and leaders, helping them develop greater emotional intelligence, healthier relationships, and stronger leadership capabilities.
